Accreditation Cost
The cost for CHAP accreditation is determined by the number of services seeking accreditation, and the number of locations from which service is provided. Organizations will generally find CHAP accreditation is a cost effective and valuable investment in infrastructure and performance improvement. CHAP Accreditation is valid for a three-year cycle, and billed in four interest free installments.
The CHAP Accreditation Contract details all charges with no hidden costs. Included Services:
- Access to CHAP’s central office in Washington DC standards interpretation, standards application and technical support with use of CHAP’s web based tools
- Hard copy standards
- Electronic self study and standards, with access to the CARES (Computer-based Accreditation Review and Evaluation System) system and related web portals
- Consultation about the meaning or application of a standard
- Site Visit: a routine site visit is required for validation of adherence to CHAP Standards of Excellence. The on-site days are calculated based on the number of patients served. Additional site visit days may be necessary for Board of Review required Focus Visits, or Complaints which require on-site investigation
- Access to the Plan of Correct electronic toolset
- Certificate of Accreditation and Media Kit
- Agency Listing on the CHAP website of Accredited Organizations
- Access to online educational offerings and recorded webinars
The following is a cost estimate for a single site (one location), single service (one service) 3-year accreditation for an organization serving 150 or fewer unique patients in the most recent 12-month period:
