Public HealthAn interdisciplinary team approach to public health practice in community based settings. Standards are based on Essential Public Health Services as defined in Public Health In America (Healthy People 2010), and use a team approach which is population-based and wellness oriented. The standards are applicable to organizations providing services in a variety of community based settings including local, municipal, regional, state, and tribal.

Who Should Apply:

Organizations providing the above services directly to consumers.

The combined focus of the Public Health and Core Standards ensures compliance with all local, state, Federal and industry regulatory requirements that address and protect the privacy, health, safety of clients, employees and communities, and compliance with regulatory requirements for disaster planning, emergency health threats and events.
