CHAP 2012 Standards Revisions Public Comment Period Announced

The Public Comment period for CHAP Proposed 2012 Standards will open October 10, 2011 and close November 10, 2011 at 5pm EST. CHAP is pleased to announce and invite CHAP accredited organizations and the general public to participate in our public comment period to review the Proposed 2012 CHAP Standards of Excellence for CORE and the following service lines:

Home Health
-
Hospice
-
Pharmacy
-
Home Medical Equipment
-
Infusion Therapy Nursing
-
Private Duty
During this period, CHAP accredited organizations will have the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed standards, scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2012. The public comment period is open to the general public.
CHAP accredited organizations will receive a separate email with links to the standards, crosswalks for CORE, and each service that outlines a comparison of the current standards to the proposed revisions, and a excel template that will allow those who wish to comment to write if the standard/criterion/element/sub-element is helpful, not redundant, improve the quality of care and services, and/or any other questions or concerns. If you are not a CHAP accredited organization, please submit your by e-mail to publiccomment@chapinc.org. Please provide your name, title, organization, affiliations, address, email, and phone number when submitting your request.
This is a very exciting time in CHAP’s history. We believe our proposed 2012 standards will add value, efficiency and quality of care to the populations served by CHAP accredited community-based care organizations. We welcome your comments and value your feedback.
