Attention HME/DMEPOS Accredited Organizations:
CMS has communicated to ALL of the DMEPOS approved Accrediting Organizations (AOs) there are issues with the data load of the DMEPOS report sent weekly by the AOs. This weekly transmission communicates to CMS the providers’ accreditation dates and products approved through the accreditation process into PECOS.
This is not an issue with CHAP or the NSC; it is an issue with PECOS. Please note CMS is working to resolve this issue as soon as possible and are communicating providers won’t be penalized for claims denied if related to this technical issue. CMS is expecting to resolve this issue in the next 2 weeks.
