National Public Health Week 2017

The first full week of April is National Public Health Week (NPHW) in the US, and is a time to recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues that are important to all of us in public and community health. Through NPHW, the American Public Health Association (APHA) brings attention to campaigns to make the US the Healthiest Nation by 2030.

APHA uses the week to celebrate the power of prevention, advocate for healthy and fair policies, share strategies for successful partnerships and champion the role of a strong public health system.

50 years ago, CHAP was created as a joint venture between the American Public Health Association and the National League for Nursing.  We became the first accrediting body for home and community-based health care organizations in the United States. Since then we have made great strides to help our customers navigate the future and provide the highest standard of care by bringing deep insights, best practices and thought leadership to the people we serve.
