CHAP Announces New Board Members

Recently, CHAP announced the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors (Board). On January 1, 2015, Patricia T. Driscoll, BSN, MSN, JD, and Maureen Spivack began their three-year terms on the CHAP Board. 

Patricia Driscoll, both a nurse and an attorney, is the former president and CEO of Home Health Services of Texas, Inc., a community-based not-for-profit home health agency with offices in Dallas and Houston. She is a senior health care leader with proven success in creating and executing executive-level business development and operational strategies, developing and managing high-profile business and community relationships, and assessing and designing performance improvement strategies to support corporate mission and vision. Ms. Driscoll also serves as a professor at Texas Woman’s University at its School of Management, Health Service Management Program.

Ms. Spivack currently serves as the managing director, co-head – Healthcare Investment Banking at KPMG Corporate Finance, LLC, where she specializes in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital raises for health care companies. She has executed transactions spanning the full spectrum of health care services companies, including both post-acute care and behavioral health services. Originally trained as a nurse, Ms. Spivack’s experience includes more than 20 years of executing strategic and financial transactions for publicly traded, privately held and not-for-profit health care companies.

The CHAP Board also voted on new leadership at its November meeting. Elizabeth Buff is now immediate past chair, Katheen Dodd has been appointed board chair, Peggy Pettit has been named vice chair and David Matyas has replaced Kevin McQueen as treasurer.
